Faith Farm Tale
In 1992 God gave us a vision for "Faith Farm." The concept of this vision was that this would be a place where we could minister to the whole person year round; a multi-purpose facility ministering to people of different backgrounds and social status. It would be a place to help improve the spiritual, physical, and mental well-being of all who come.
Believing that this vision was of God, we began to pray about the location where God would have us to build such a "farm" and the way how we were to go about establishing such a feat. Over the years we had our own ideas as to where this "farm" could or should be, how far it should be from St. Petersburg, etc. Despite all our human attempts, each and every time, nothing ever seemed to turn out. After several unsuccessful attempts to help God we prayed, "Lord, in YOUR time show us the place that YOU have chosen, and make it so clear to us that this is YOUR place that there cannot be any room for doubt." From that point on we stopped helping God and stood in faith and expectation, waiting on God's timing.

Since 2001 we've been conducting evangelistic outreaches in the city of Sortavala, which at that time was a dismal place. Over the course of time many changes have taken place. We have seen God do amazing things through Christian festivals, which we've organized: Hundreds of people have received salvation, churches have begun to co-operate with one another, and even the attitude of the administration has radically changed.
Through the years of our service and ministry in Sortavala, the Lord has connected us with key people. One such person is Tatiana Victorovna, she is the head of 2 Departments of the City Administration: Cultural and Religious. (What a Divine coincidence, huh?) She is the one that we worked with on planning our city-wide outreaches. In the summer of 2003 her husband, Pavel, was severely injured in an explosion. He almost died; in fact the doctors did not expect him to live. While Pavel, with 35% of his body burned was lying in Intensive Care, in a coma, which he was not expected to come out of, we prayed with Tatiana and God did a miracle. Pavel came out his coma, had no pain, and in one week's time went home. He had no burns, scars, or any traces of being so severely burned. After this incident, Tatiana received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and began to get involved in Pastor Sasha Kuznitsov's church. Many things have begun to be put into place through her salvation.
On May 1st, 2005, Easter Sunday, we were ministering in Pastor Sasha's church. After the worship service, Pavel and Tatiana, not knowing of our desire to purchase land, suggested that we look at a plot of land - about 2,5 acres, situated in a beautiful area with pine trees, and surrounded by 3 lakes. We went there with them to look at the property. As soon as we set foot on it, something (or Someone!) inside of us said, "THIS IS IT! THIS IS THE LAND THAT THE LORD HAS CHOSEN FOR YOU!"

While talking with Pavel & Tatiana, we began inquiring about the surroundings and asked, "Where is the best place to go swimming?" They told us that the best lake was Lake POLIAKOVO! Maybe it seems strange to some, but for us, having a lake that shares your surname surrounding the property that you think God has chosen for you, is pretty good confirmation!
